Their cast-brass frames followed the curling acanthus scrolls of the Rococo, and coloured glass gave the light a warm, candle-like tone.

This pendant brings those elements together at a small scale. Scrolling arms of cast brass in an antique finish curve out and down from a decorative ceiling cup to form an open cage. Inside sits a globe of amber-tinted glass, hand-cut in a diamond lattice, on a brass collar and turned stem. Clear crystal drops hang from the tip of every arm and below the globe, so when it is lit the amber glow is scattered into sparkle.

What makes the Amber Crystal Cage distinctive

Amber cut-glass globe: A diamond-lattice cut globe that gives a warm, golden light.

Scrolled brass cage: Cast acanthus arms in an antique brass finish.

Crystal drops: Clear crystals on every arm that catch and scatter the light.

Compact size: 15 inches across, for a foyer, landing or bedroom.

Made to order in India: From Delhi Brass, a fourth-generation lighting and decorative metalwork company.

Materials & dimensions

Material: Brass, with an amber cut-glass shade and crystal

Finish: Antique brass

Diameter: 15 inches / 38.1 cm

Height: 20 inches / 50.8 cm, without chain

Light source: 1 × E27 bulb (not included)

Warranty: 2 years

Product code: 10214

Finding the right spot

At 15 inches across, it suits a small entrance foyer, a hallway, a stair landing, a powder room or a bedroom, either centred or as a pair either side of a bed.
