Patra means a leaf, or a written page, and the name fits: the edges are framed with a fine chevron border and a band of scalloped leaves, and small flowering bushes and grass sprigs are scattered sparsely across the face.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLight escapes only from the open top and bottom, washing the wall above and below while the brass itself stays dark and sculptural. The two sconces are made as mirror images, one wrapping left and one wrapping right, so the pair sits symmetrically on either side of whatever it frames.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eMade by hand\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach sconce begins as a flat sheet of brass.
