Ring chandeliers go back to the medieval iron and brass coronas that hung in great halls and churches, holding candles around a simple hoop. Regency and later Art Deco designers refined the form, using slender curves and open metalwork so a large fixture could fill a room without feeling heavy.

The Golden Curve follows that line. A central brass stem carries a ring with a pierced, slatted gallery, and long arms curve up through it and out to six candle cups with drip pans. Below, the arms gather into a turned brass finial. Because the frame is open, the chandelier reads clearly from below and lets light pass in every direction.

Finding the right spot

At 36 inches across, it suits a living room or foyer of about 14 to 18 feet, or a dining table of 6 to 8 feet. Over a table, hang it so the bottom sits about 30–36 inches above the top; where people walk beneath, keep at least 7 feet of clearance. It works best with a ceiling of 10 feet or more. Use warm white (2700K) candle bulbs.

Care

Switch off and let the bulbs cool before cleaning. Dust the brass with a soft, dry cloth, using a soft brush for the gallery ring. Avoid abrasive pads and chemical cleaners, which will damage the finish.

This chandelier is made to order, and the size, drop and finish can be adapted to your room. It takes six E14 candle bulbs, which are not included, and comes with a 2-year warranty. Production takes 10–14 days, followed by 4–6 days for delivery.
