Description
A Gothic-inspired wall light in antique brass: a diamond-shaped cutwork backplate and a twin-arm bracket holding a single cream drum shade, with a crystal prism accent.

The pointed diamond and the pierced tracery of Gothic windows came back into fashion in the nineteenth century, when the Gothic Revival brought them into libraries, churches and country houses. Pierced brass in these shapes casts a pattern of light and shadow on the wall, which is half of its charm.
The Gothic Diamond sets a diamond-shaped brass backplate, pierced in cutwork, behind a twin-arm bracket. The two arms carry one cream drum shade over two bulbs, and a small crystal prism hangs between them to catch the light. The brass has an antique finish.

Finding the right spot
Use a pair either side of a bed, a piece of art or a mirror, or a row along a hallway or library. Mount it with the shade about 60 to 66 inches above the floor, or about 30 inches above a bedside table. Use warm white (2700K) E14 bulbs.
Care
Switch off and let the bulbs cool before cleaning. Dust the cutwork with a soft, dry brush. Freshen the shade with a soft brush. Avoid metal polish, abrasives and chemical cleaners, which will strip the antique finish.
Before you order
This wall light is made to order. It takes two E14 bulbs, which are not included, and comes with a 2-year warranty. Production takes 10–14 days, followed by 4–6 days for delivery.
