Rosewood Fluted Urn Table Lamp

A warm, compact table lamp: a deeply fluted wooden urn in a rich rosewood tone, set on a beaten brass foot beneath a cream pleated empire shade.

Bulb not included | 2-year warranty

Turned and fluted wood has been used for lamp bases since the earliest electric lamps, borrowing the shape of classical columns and urns. Carving the flutes by hand creates light and shadow along the body, so a simple shape gains depth.

This lamp has a wooden urn with deep vertical flutes that flare toward the bottom, finished in a rich rosewood tone. It sits on a round foot of beaten brass, and a slim brass stem rises to a cream pleated empire shade.

What makes the Rosewood Fluted Urn distinctive

• Deep fluting: Vertical grooves that create light and shadow on the wood.
• Rosewood tone: A warm, dark wood finish.
• Beaten brass foot: A hand-hammered round base.
• Pleated empire shade: A cream shade that softens the light.
• Made to order in India: From Delhi Brass, a fourth-generation lighting and decorative metalwork company.

Finding the right spot

At 23 inches tall, it suits a bedside table, a small side table or a desk. The dark wood works with both pale walls and richly coloured rooms. Use a warm white (2700K) bulb.

Care

Switch off and let the bulb cool before cleaning. Dust the wood with a soft, dry cloth and keep it away from water and direct sun. Wipe the brass with a dry cloth, and freshen the shade with a soft brush. Avoid chemical cleaners.

Before you order

This table lamp is made to order, and the natural wood means each piece varies slightly. It takes one E27 bulb, which is not included, and comes with a 2-year warranty. Production takes 10–14 days, followed by 4–6 days for delivery.
